November 11, 2024Categories: Organizational Updates
The Saint Francis Hospital Laboratory and Specimen Processing Department is excited about the new changes that came with the implementation of TogetherCare. As the “heart” of the hospital, the magnitude of the work done in the lab is enormous, as the department processes an average of 5,000 specimens per day. TogetherCare has made receiving and processing of these specimens more efficient.
The Laboratory and Specimen Processing Department at Saint Francis processes an average of 5,000 specimens per day.
With the new process, specimens are received in seconds instead of minutes. “Efficiency is the key to outstanding patient care, and TogetherCare is helping us do that,” said Nirav Rajpura, Supervisor, Clinical Services. “The manual work we used to do in processing is a thing of the past, and we are making a positive impact on the environment as well, since our paper usage has gone down drastically.”
The Laboratory and Specimen Processing team also wants to recognize and express gratitude for all of the support they received from the TogetherCare team and Super Users.
