Your Stories: TIDE Cancer Foundation Donates Care Packages
October 15, 2026Categories: Colleague Corner
The TIDE Cancer Foundation, a Connecticut-based organization, recently donated care packages to the Saint Francis Hospital Cancer Center. Started by a cancer survivor, the nonprofit provides thoughtfully curated gift bags designed to support women with hope and courage while they undergo cancer treatment.
Gina Gallivan, founder of the TIDE Foundation, and members of the Central Connecticut State University Women's Basketball Team delivered care bags to the Saint Francis Cancer Center.
Established in 2021 by Gina Gallivan and her husband John, the TIDE Foundation has delivered over 1,000 care packages to more than 65 towns throughout Connecticut. As longtime supporters of Saint Francis, the TIDE Foundation has a strong partnership with the care team at the Cancer Center and regularly donate special care packages of comforting essentials to patients undergoing treatment.
For this delivery, Gina was joined by members of the Central Connecticut State University Women’s Basketball Team, who helped put the bags together. The Cancer Center is incredibly appreciative of the continued generosity and thoughtfulness in providing care packages to their patients.
