Saint Francis Holds Press Conference to Formally Welcome Dr. Roose

On Wednesday, August 26, Saint Francis Hospital held a press conference to formally welcome Robert Roose, MD, MPH, who was recently named President of Acute Care for Trinity Health Of New England.
Dr. Hanks (L) and Dr. Roose (R) both spoke of their shared vision and commitment to Mission-based health care.
Colleagues, community leaders and partners were welcomed in the Saint Francis Rotunda as Steven Hanks, MD, MMM, FACP, FFSMB, President & CEO of Trinity Health Of New England, introduced Dr. Roose.
Dr. Hanks shared his vision of a new day at Saint Francis, grounded in a commitment to listening, accountability and a renewed focus on what matters most – those who turn to Saint Francis in moments of illness, uncertainty, healing and hope.
Dr. Roose spoke about honoring the legacy that has made Saint Francis a trusted beacon of care for almost 130 years while leading the hospital boldly into the future. Guided by the organizational Mission and inspired by the people the hospital serves, Dr. Roose outlined a leadership journey that is committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience, investing in colleagues and strengthening access to high-quality health care across the region.
In his new role, Dr. Roose will oversee Saint Francis, Saint Mary’s Hospital, Johnson Memorial Hospital and Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital.
