Members of the Saint Francis Hospital Trauma Department recently attended the annual Connecticut Trauma Conference held at Mohegan Sun. The conference featured a variety of educational sessions, including case presentations and topics such as violence mitigation, trauma in pregnancy, trauma care in UFC fighting and more.

The Connecticut Trauma Conference provided high-quality education in trauma, critical care and injury prevention. This year’s speakers represented local, regional and national trauma centers, sharing their expertise in trauma care across the continuum. 

The event offered the multidisciplinary team from Saint Francis an opportunity to engage, collaborate and learn alongside trauma professionals from across the state. The conference concluded with a case presentation by Sarah Posillico, MD, Trauma Surgeon at Saint Francis, highlighting the exceptional quality of trauma care delivered at the hospital.
