April 23, 2025Categories: Colleague Corner
Trinity Health Of New England continues its mission in advancing the common good by developing pathway programs for youth in the communities we serve. For the third year in a row, students from Bloomfield High School visited Saint Francis Hospital for a half-day immersive experience as part of our healthcare pathway program, supported by a generous grant from the Liberty Bank Foundation.
Students from Bloomfield High School with Saint Francis Hospital colleagues who spoke to the group about various health care professions.
These bright young students had the opportunity to explore departments including the Cancer Center, Emergency Room, Women and Infants, and Surgery – gaining firsthand insight into the many careers and compassionate care that define our hospital. They also heard from various leaders and colleagues throughout the day.
“This immersive experience isn't just about the students just seeing what happens in a hospital; it's about igniting a spark in their minds and showing them the diverse and meaningful ways they can contribute to the health and well-being of our community,” said N. Chineye Anako, Regional Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Trinity Health Of New England. “Opening our doors to these bright young students is about opening their minds to the possibilities within healthcare.”
