Saint Mary’s Hospital hosted an Out For Health Event on Tuesday, March 5, through its affiliation with the Waterbury Regional Chamber’s Health Care Council. Held in partnership with Connecticut Children’s and VITAS, the event highlighted the wide-ranging medical services offered at Saint Mary’s, and the strong relationship with health care partners working to provide the full spectrum of quality care to the community.

About 50 Chamber members attended the event, held in the vestibule between the Connecticut Children’s and VITAS units on the 4th floor of the Sacred Heart and Xavier buildings. Kim Kalajainen, President, Saint Mary’s Hospital addressed the gathering highlighting the expert and skilled care provided to the greater Waterbury community throughout the circle of life, from birth to end of life. Leadership from Connecticut Children’s and VITAS addressed the gathering, with each sharing an overview of the services provided on their respective units.

The Waterbury Regional Chamber has been serving its members as a network, resource, and advocate for over 134 years. Over 1,000 members represent businesses and organizations in 14 communities in the region and beyond.
