Trinity Health Of New England joined communities nationwide in celebrating National Nurses Week, an annual event dedicated to recognizing the incredible contributions of nurses. From May 6 - 12, coinciding with Florence Nightingale's birthday, festivities across the region recognized the commitment, expertise, and compassionate care Trinity Health Of New England’s nursing colleagues provide every day. The week was filled with a range of specially planned activities from recognition and blessings ceremonies to educational seminars and self-care wellness sessions, including therapy dog visits and massage opportunities, as well as hot meal offerings and sweet treats.

“Nursing continues to be a valued and highly trusted profession in America. We are proud of the nurses who choose to work within Trinity Health Of New England and of their contributions in all the areas nursing care is provided,” said Lisa Zapatka, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, Senior Vice President, Regional Chief Nursing Officer, Trinity Health Of New England. “Our knowledgeable and skillful nurses consistently provide compassionate and personalized care to those who look to us for hope and healing.”
