Breast Cancer Awareness Event Features Medical Group Breast Surgeon

Nicole Sookhan, M.D. and Sarah Vimini, PA at the Farmingbury Breast Cancer Awareness Event

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group Breast Surgeon, spoke at the Farmingbury Women’s Breast Cancer Awareness event in Wolcott. As a care provider for patients in the area, as well as a member of the community, she has attended this event for well over a decade. At the gathering, Dr. Sookhan provided an update on breast cancer care, including genetic testing and monitoring cancer DNA in the blood of cancer survivors to detect cancer recurrence. Sarah Vimini, PA, joined Dr. Sookhan at the event.

The Farmingbury Women’s Club has long been crafting small pillows for Dr. Sookhan’s cancer patients to put under their arms for comfort as they are undergoing axillary surgeries.
