Family Life Center at Mercy Sees Positive Changes with TogetherCare

Prior to go-live, the FLC’s electronic medical record system did not directly communicate with the fetal monitoring system, so providers were required to chart patient information in both locations. Additionally, information in the charts for mothers and their babies did not cross over and documentation in the operating room was also done on paper.

Implementation of TogetherCare has changed all of that by bringing these functions together on one platform. “TogetherCare has really benefitted the Family Life Center,” said Laura Bowler, MSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM, C-ONQS, Nurse Manager for Labor and Delivery. “By condensing the documentation systems we’ve been able to streamline care and the nursing workflow, giving us more time to spend with our patients and their babies.”
