Hospital Week 2025 at Trinity Health Of New England was a celebration of gratitude, team spirit, and the unwavering dedication of our colleagues. From May 12–16, each hospital came together to honor our health care heroes and strengthen the sense of community.
This year's theme for Hospital Week was "We Are Healthcare." Trinity Health Of New England celebrated the recognition week throughout the region.
At Johnson Memorial Hospital and Mercy Medical Center, the week kicked off with a warm welcome—coffee and pastries to start the day, followed by a spirited “Spirit Day” celebration. Colleagues proudly donned Trinity Health Of New England green and purple, coming together for a group photo that captured the energy and unity of the moment.
At Saint Mary’s Hospital, the festivities were delicious and lively. Colleagues savored fresh wood-fired pizza, salad, and gelato from La Tavola Pizza Truck, while offsite Waterbury market teams received special pizza deliveries of their own. Later in the week, coffee and pastries made their way to the cafeteria, and Friday brought another Spirit Day with colleagues showcasing their Trinity Health Of New England gear and colors.
At Saint Francis Hospital and Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, the celebration took on a sporty twist. “Sports Days” encouraged colleagues to represent their favorite teams, while cafeteria tailgates served up fan-favorite meals. Treats flowed throughout the week—donuts, coffee, and ice cream—alongside special visits from therapy dogs and Hartford Athletic players, spreading smiles and boosting morale. The fun concluded with Friday’s Spirit Day and the beloved Cupcake Bakeoff, where Nursing Education took home the win.
Adding to the excitement, Connecticut’s professional soccer team, Hartford Athletic, shared a heartfelt thank-you and tribute to health care workers, recognizing their tireless commitment and compassion.
This year’s Hospital Week theme, “We Are Healthcare,”—established by the American Hospital Association—celebrates hospitals, health systems, and health care professionals across the nation. It highlights the innovative ways they care for, support, and connect with their communities. Together, we celebrated not just a week, but the incredible people who make our Mission possible every day.
