Tian Sheng Ng, M.D., (PGY3), General Surgery Resident at Saint Mary’s Hospital, was recently awarded the Dr. Mark Sebastian Award for Surgical Excellence for his hard work, quality of care and compassion in pediatric trauma while on a rotation to Connecticut Children's for Pediatric Surgery.

Tian Sheng Ng, M.D., General Surgery Resident, as awarded for his hard work, quality of care and compassion in pediatric trauma from Connecticut Children's. 

The award was created to honor Dr. Sebastian’s memory, along with the skill and compassion he demonstrated as a surgeon. It is issued annually by the Pediatric Surgery faculty at Connecticut Children’s to a surgical resident who best exemplifies Dr. Sebastian’s commitment to clinical excellence, and commitment to doing the "right thing" for the patient.

Dr. Ng is the first General Surgery Resident at Saint Mary's Hospital to receive this award. Saint Mary’s program leadership and the department faculty would like to congratulate Dr. Ng publicly for his excellent work and dedication to learning and surgery.
