Saint Mary’s Hospital held its annual Celebration of Lights event on December 2. The tradition dates back many years and is an opportunity for colleagues, their families and community members to gather to mark the start of the holiday season.

Saint Mary's annual Celebration of Lights was held on Monday, December 2.

The evening began in the chapel with a welcome reflection and opening prayer from Amy Mickolite, MA, BCC, Manager of Spiritual Care at Saint Mary’s, followed by a Reading from the Gospel of Luke by Ryan O’Connell, LCSW, Mission Integration Consultant, Trinity Health. A poignant moment during the program was a tribute to the colleagues that Saint Mary’s has lost over the course of the last year with a special appreciation for Joanne Keeler, digital marketing specialist, who passed in August. Keeler was the creative force behind the musical light show, an endeavor she embraced and loved to share each Christmas season.

Those gathered in the chapel then processed to the Franklin Street cul de sac for the lighting of the trees and a musical light show on the hospital façade.
