Meet & Greet at Saint Mary’s Hospital Recognizes Pulse Survey Achievement

Saint Mary’s Hospital recently celebrated the achievement of attaining the highest Pulse Engagement Survey response rate in the Trinity Health Of New England region. With a 66% response rate, Saint Mary’s and the Waterbury market led the way in colleague participation, providing invaluable feedback to enhance workplace culture and engagement.

To recognize this accomplishment and foster open dialogue, a Meet & Greet was held on March 3 in the hospital cafeteria. Colleagues were invited to grab a coffee and snack while taking a few moments to connect with Robert Roose, M.D., MPH, President of Community Hospitals, along with other members of Saint Mary’s executive leadership team.
Dr. Roose, who was recently named to his new role, is responsible for leading the strategic execution and operational direction of Trinity Health Of New England’s acute care hospitals, including Saint Mary’s, Mercy Medical Center, and Johnson Memorial Hospital.
Recognizing the importance of colleague engagement, Dr. Roose also conducted a mobile Meet & Greet on the night shift, rounding on units to connect with colleagues. The Pulse Engagement Survey serves as an important tool for leadership to listen, understand concerns, and implement meaningful actions that enhance workplace culture. Our leaders are committed to cultivating a supportive and collaborative environment, ensuring that every colleague’s voice is heard and valued.
