Bobby Rinaldi began working at Saint Mary’s Hospital as an orderly in the Operating Room when he was 19 years old. That was 45 years and several months ago. Today, Bobby continues to serve at Saint Mary’s as a Security Officer. A fixture on campus, Bobby has seen many changes, but he says one thing remains constant, “the family like atmosphere.”
Security Officer, Bobby Rinaldi (center right), recently marked over 45 years of service at Saint Mary's.
The Security Department recently held a special lunch to celebrate Bobby’s 45 years of service. Good will, praise and jokes floated around the room as colleagues recalled moments and interactions with Bobby.
His colleague Tenikka Hampton said, “Bobby is patient. Even when the situation is getting out of control, he never loses his cool.”
“You don’t get better than Bobby,” said Martin Gelinas, Jr., Safety and Security Manager, Saint Mary’s Hospital. “He’s our standard bearer. Teaches us all how to do our jobs every day to the best of our abilities.”
Bobby was recognized as Colleague of the Month in July 2023. The submission for him stated that “he performs his duties with the same empathy, thoughtfulness and attention every day. His skill in de-escalation and his fair and balanced approach with patients and visitors has earned him the respect of colleagues and visitors alike.”
Thank you, Bobby, for your dedication, professionalism and service to Saint Mary’s.
