Patients at Mercy Medical Center's Sister Caritas Cancer Center will enjoy the warmth of blankets and messages of hope thanks to a cooperative effort by a local car dealership and Blood Cancer United® (formerly the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society).

Mercy leaders accept blankets, patient care kits and messages of hope for cancer patients from Bertera Subaru and Blood Cancer United.

The messages of hope for cancer patients were written by visitors at Bertera Subaru during Subaru’s annual "Loves to Care" promotion in June. The handwritten messages, along with 80 blankets and 30 patient care kits, support the automaker’s goal to provide hope and care, one gesture at a time.

Those messages, along with the blankets and patient care kits, were delivered to the Sister Caritas Cancer Center to help keep patients warm as they continue their fight against cancer and to raise awareness for Blood Cancer United.
