Mercy Medical Center’s Behavioral Health and Addiction Consult team was recently invited to submit an abstract highlighting the work we do for the City of Springfield. After our abstract was accepted, our team was given the opportunity to present a poster at the city’s Public Health Month Kick Off celebration on April 7.

Members of Mercy’s Integrated Behavioral Health and Addiction Consult Team: (L to R) Noah Witt, Recovery Coach; Heather Colon, BSN, RN, Recovery Support Coordinator; Maria Mead, MSW, LICSW, Behavioral Health Clinical Coordinator; Edna Rodriguez, LP-PsyD, Regional Director of Behavioral Health; Patricia Morrow, Behavioral Health Specialist; Annalee Wells, D.O., Medical Director, Addiction Consult Services.

As part of the event program, Mercy’s Behavioral Health and Addiction Consult team presented our poster entitled “Integrated Behavioral Health Services,” which detailed the services we provide for our community.

The Public Health Month Kick Off event, held at the Carriage House at Forest Park, drew representatives from many public health organizations and provided a great opportunity to celebrate public health achievements, network, and build connections with other individuals working in the City of Springfield.

Submitted by Heather Colon, BSN, RN, Recovery Support Coordinator, Addiction Consult Team, Mercy Medical Center.
