In celebration of Black History Month, Mercy Medical Center hosted a vendor fair on Friday, February 28, dedicated to honoring and uplifting Black-owned businesses within our community.

Vendor Fair attendees learn beauty basics with Lay Rivera of Studio L Makeup Brow & Lash Lounge.

This event served as a powerful opportunity to showcase the invaluable contributions Black entrepreneurs have made to our culture, economy, and society.

On behalf of Mercy’s DEI Council, colleagues, patients, visitors, and friends gathered to celebrate the strength, resilience, and innovative spirit of Black businesses. The vendor fair brought together a mix of familiar faces and new friends, creating an inspiring space for networking, support, and appreciation. Attendees were excited to reconnect with Crystal Malone-Kelly of Crystal’s Bling & Things and Gwen from UMASS Five, while also welcoming fresh faces such as Studio L Makeup Brow & Lash Lounge, Cocovonday Naturals, Shandolls Beauty, and more.

The event was a testament to the importance of community and economic empowerment, reinforcing our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Thank you to everyone who joined us in making this celebration a success!
