Moving clinical services from one place to another is never an easy task, but colleagues in Johnson’s Perioperative Services have risen to the occasion with a great display of teamwork.
In order to continue providing access to perioperative services during the transition from the Johnson Surgery Center to the new S. Prestley & Helen Blake Ambulatory Care Center in Enfield, the team at Johnson moved equipment and relocated surgical cases to the hospital. The team effort has included input from facilities, perioperative services, leadership, clinical engineering, and surgeons to make this happen. “It’s been exciting to see the operating rooms busy treating patients, even post-go live for TogetherCare,” said Robert Roose, M.D., MPH, President of Mercy Medical Center and Johnson Memorial Hospital. “The team is prepared and engaged to care for ophthalmology, general surgery, vascular surgery, orthopedic, and other surgical care as indicated.”
