With an infusion room at Johnson Memorial Hospital’s Karen Davis Krzynowek Cancer Center in Enfield as a backdrop, Lindsey Gamble, MSN, RN, Executive Director of Patient Care Services and Operations, and State Senator Jeff Gordon came together to create a public service announcement to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The message also focused on importance of scheduling an annual mammogram.

In addition to his legislative duties, Senator Gordon is also a physician with more than 30 years of experience in direct patient care. He has served in many hospital leadership roles and specializes in care for cancer patients and patients with blood disorders. Senator Gordon is one of two medical doctors in the Connecticut legislature. He invited Lindsey to represent Johnson in creating the video that can be found on his and Johnson’s Facebook pages. “One in every eight women will face a breast cancer diagnosis in her lifetime, and early detection can save lives,” said Lindsey.

“For many women, mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early and we are proud to offer mammography services here on Johnson’s Enfield campus. It was an honor to work with Senator Gordon to get this important message out to a wider audience.”
