Joan C. Dauber Food Pantry Feeds the Community for Thanksgiving
The Joan C. Dauber Food Pantry provided Thanksgiving food to over 800 local families in need.

The Joan C. Dauber Food Pantry helped to ensure that local families are able to celebrate Thanksgiving. On November 18, volunteers from Community Health and Well Being, the Family Advocacy Center, and other Trinity Health Of New England colleagues were joined by family members, community partners, and a local high school soccer team to distribute bags of Thanksgiving food to neighbors in need.

Recipients included Food Pantry clients, 20 community partners, and housing sites, totaling 832 families. The Food Pantry distributed 552 turkeys, 260 chickens, 960 5-pound bags of potatoes, 1,184 bags of onions, 1,184 bags of carrots, and 89 cases of sweet potatoes. Each bag also included a box of stuffing mix and cans of vegetables.

“I am so excited and grateful to be part of such a day of giving and caring in our community,” said Melissa Crawford, Manager, Community Health and Well Being.
