Colleagues from the Hoffman Heart and Vascular Institute’s Canton office participated in the annual “Give a Treat, Get a Treat” community event hosted by the Shops at Farmington Valley. Attendees brought non-perishable food items for Gifts of Love, an organization that helps meet the basic needs of individuals and families in the Greater Hartford area experiencing short-term financial crisis.
Team members shared their experiences and what it meant to be part of the event.
“I enjoyed being able to do some team building, as well as being a part of the community.” – Elena, Medical Assistant
“As a new colleague, participating in the Halloween event was really nice. I participated in this event to give back to the community and just to see everyone, especially the kids, happy. It helped form a connection between me and everyone else.” – Aysha, Clinical Service Representative
“It’s important to me to give back to my community. This event benefits a local charity that provides a food pantry to struggling families and a fabulous backpack program. Plus, it’s fun to see all the kiddos in their costumes!” – Diana, Registered Nurse
“I chose to participate to represent our fantastic Canton cardiology team.” – Lisa, Medical Assistant
“I participated in this local event to build our team comradery, help support Canton’s community food bank, and bring awareness to Trinity Health Of New England’s presence of the Hoffman Heart and Vascular Institute.” – Cyd, Practice Coordinator
