Riders participate in the "Wicked in Pink" Motorcycle Run -
The annual "Wicked in Pink" Motorcycle Run drew 600 riders with the same goal - to raise money for the Sister Caritas Cancer Center Patient Fund at Mercy Medical Center. Wearing a pink jacket, Sister Mary Caritas, SP, participated this year, riding on the back of a motorcycle for the entire run. Waterbury went Pink on Thursday, October 26. Held at City Hall, Mayor Neil O'Leary was joined by Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, Saint Mary's president, Kim Kalajainen, Joe Cappello from Are You Dense, Deputy Assistant of Public Schools, Holy Cross High School, Waterbury Fire and Police to raise awareness of the importance of breast screenings and to raise funds for the Breast Screening Fund. -
