Dan Moen Named Interim President of Saint Francis and Mount Sinai

Dan Moen, an experienced health care leader, has been named Interim President of Saint Francis Hospital and Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital following the Tom Burke’s departure. Dan, who also currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Hospital Operations for Trinity Health Of New England, will oversee the Hartford Market while a national search is conducted for a permanent president.
In his current role, Dan leads Trinity Health Of New England’s acute care segment, focusing on operational quality, efficiency, and consistency across the region. Dan spent five years as the President and CEO of Mercy Medical Center and was instrumental in the formation of the Regional Health Ministry.
In addition to his time in New England, Dan served in several leadership roles across the Trinity Health system, including President at Saint Francis Medical Center in Trenton, New Jersey and Interim President and CEO at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Mercy, Dan served as President and CEO of Heywood Hospital as well as Holden Hospital, both in Massachusetts.
In his announcement letter to the Saint Francis and Mount Sinai colleagues he wrote, “I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Tom Burke for his outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to Saint Francis and Mount Sinai. We wish him well on all of his future endeavors.” He went on to say, “Saint Francis and Mount Sinai have a rich history of being beacons in our community and for bringing hope and healing to those we serve. Together, we can continue that legacy—and strengthen it.”
