Construction Update for the Frank Capasso & Sons Visitor Parking Garage
February 11, 2024Categories: Organizational Updates

Colleagues at Saint Francis may have noticed the large, red crane on the worksite of the Frank Capasso & Sons Visitor Parking Garage. The crane is being used to place the precast concrete sections that form the garage. The construction team has been hard at work getting the structure in place, starting at the end closest to the hospital and progressing out towards Atwood Street.
Seeing the garage come to life is a welcome sight on the Saint Francis campus following months of excavation and preparation during the summer. Over 7,000 tons of soil was hauled offsite between June and July, followed by grading and concrete work.
Once the main structure is complete, the crews will get to work inside, installing electrical systems, lighting, plumbing, electric vehicle charging stations, and security and parking equipment. The garage is on track for completion this fall. Colleagues can see a full timeline of the progress, from demolition to current state at trinityhealthofne.org/constructionupdates.
